Chemin Perez, LM, CPM I am a proud midwife who has been blessed to serve thousands of women in out-of-hospital birth settings. From twins and breech births to vaginal births after cesarean, each family’s story has shaped me as a midwife. Supporting and nurturing this generation of families is a true privilege and a labor of love. I am endlessly thankful for this calling.

Chemin has been serving women and families as a midwife since 2013, providing care in out-of-hospital settings including home births and birth centers in Washington State, California and Colorado. With over 2,000 births attended, her experience spans both the vibrant diversity of Los Angeles and the close-knit connections of rural communities.

Chemin has founded and owned three birth centers and has also worked with several others across Washington State. In addition to her clinical practice, she is deeply committed to education—serving as a professor for more than five colleges and nursing programs, where she mentors and inspires the next generation of midwives and birthworkers.

A Mexican-American and the first licensed Mexican midwife in California, Chemin is fluent in Spanish and has been teaching childbirth education for over 20 years. Her practice is not only a profession but also a calling—an expression of her faith and lifelong dedication to women, families, and birth.
