Chemin Perez, LM, has been serving women and families as a midwife since 2013, providing care in out-of-hospital settings including home births and birth centers in both California and Washington State. With over 2,000 births attended, her experience spans both the vibrant diversity of Los Angeles and the close-knit connections of rural communities.

Chemin has founded and owned three birth centers and has also worked with several others across Washington State. In addition to her clinical practice, she is deeply committed to education—serving as a professor for more than five colleges and nursing programs, where she mentors and inspires the next generation of midwives and birthworkers.

A Mexican-American and the first licensed Mexican midwife in California, Chemin is fluent in Spanish and has been teaching childbirth education for over 20 years. Her practice is not only a profession but also a calling—an expression of her faith and lifelong dedication to women, families, and birth.

Above all, Chemin treasures her role as a wife and mother, drawing strength and joy from her own family as she supports others in their journeys.
